Treatment

Treatment of opening title sequence- The plot

This is an original that me and my group. "A retired assassin and single dad settles down with his son, but when his past catches up with him, he must take up his old line of work to protect the thing he loves most."

For the beginning of our title sequence we thought that the first scene would be the father playing with his son in is own home. We decided that this would be the best for the opening shot as it will establish the relationship between the father and son to the audience and therefore showing them how important the storyline is. After this the plot line would become more dark and mysterious . One of the ideas was that after the shot of him playing with his son he would be out in a pub or some other social place with his old best mate who will be played by another member of our group and, they will be talking about there old lives as assassins. After the best friend would leave the father would get a call from an unknown number. The phone call would say if the man would accept one final job worth millions of pound which will give his son the best life possible, however the person on the end of the phone will take the son. When the father is walking home he is reflecting back on his life and the fact that he lost his wife which means he doesn't want to loose his son the only thing that is close to him. He will then contact his best friend and telling him what he has just been through.

A montage of the two friends will show them training and planning out how they will take out the target. this will then be followed up by a high speed action chase which leads them into the targets mansions. A fight seen will break out making the target have enough time to escape they then follow him in a car which leads them to a run down looking shed in the middle of a field, the plot then takes an amazing twist in which the fathers son is brought out tied up and he then tells the father to kill his best friend and his son will live. This leaves the tension building and the audience wondering what they are going to do. The adults then thinking back to what they have learnt and what they remember turn back to back and flick guns from their trousers creating a gripping shot out between the target and the mystery caller. There will then be a hard cut and the credits will appear.
