Idents in thriller films

At the start of practically every film there is a image which appears for a short period of time which are called idents. Idents are basically a logo for a film as they help the audience understand who help produce the film and example of an ident would be from 20th century fox which is at the start of many many films. An ident is fairly simple as it will only be on the screen for a couple of seconds and consists of basic colours and the name of the production company.

One of the films in which the 20th century fox ident appears in is the Life Of Pi and is shown at the beginning

The picture below is the ident picture for lionsgate which again is at the star of a lot of films such as The hunger games and Twilight.

There for using adobe after effects we will create our own ident to make sure that our opening title sequence has more of a movie feel to it. As well as this it will also make the film look more professional if the ident is of a high quality and make it look aesthetically pleasing.
